Vocational
Training For GPs
We are privileged to be approved as a training practice for doctors doing their
final period of preparation for a career in general practice who spend a period
of 6 or 12 months working with us. They are already experienced doctors with
a lot of experience in hospital medicine. We are also involved in teaching medical
students from Manchester and Keele Universities who are observing work in general
practice and sometimes see patients in very supervised situations.
As part of the training programmes a video camera may occasionally be used for
teaching purposes to allow viewing of consultations by the doctor and his trainer.
Full permission is always sought before any consultations are recorded on video.
We are also actively involved in research through the 'Keele GP Research Partnership'.
